Upen Heads Future Hub Engagements at the SAP, which focuses on making SAP’s long-term vision tangible and experienceable through concept prototypes and showcases. Upen is responsible for engaging with external ecosystem, including customers and partners, foster new collaborations based on SAP’s vision. He enjoys working with various minds, ideas and ambitions, using and exchanging methods, tools and mindset to identify the possible and desired futures. Upen is a passionate fusionist when it comes to business, cooking and music. He leverages his experience in technologies, innovation methods, inspiration from various cultures and geographies to create new flavours and business experiences helping organizations to stay future ready.

Since 2003, Upen has held several strategic roles at SAP in various board areas and geographies. He has created several pioneering business initiatives & experiences. He represents SAP at key external forums to foster strategic ties. He is also a keynote speaker and specialist in engagements for early stage innovations. Upen has assisted various leaders and c-level executives on managing innovation in times of exponential growth and also advises start ups on customer acquisition strategies.

He is a Certified Global Business Transformation Master by the SAP Business Transformation Academy & University of Applied Sciences & Arts (FHNW) Switzerland and has Masters in eBusiness from Germany. He is also a senior Design Thinking & Business Innovation Coach,

Upen has been based in India, China and Germany. He lives in Berlin and LOVES Berlin for several reasons, making it his home since 2009.Using our imagination, articulating visions, supporting it with new methods to safe guard the NOW and successfully transform to create the NEW is key to build and inspire the Future!
