Julia Karst Head of project GIZ/Economic Empowerment of Women Entrepreneurs in India

Julia Karst joined GIZ in India in 2018 and is leading the project “Economic Empowerment of Women Entrepreneurs”. Julia has been working with GIZ since 2012 both in Germany and abroad in different Projects in Asia, Africa and the Caribbean. Before joining GIZ, she worked at the NGO CARE. Julia holds degrees in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science, in Public Policy and Management from the University of Konstanz in Germany as well as in Business Administration from the Frankfurt School of Management in Germany.
We want to deepen our focus on the Berlin and Asia startup ecosystems and hence we are initiating community partnerships with ecosystem players in both regions. The idea is to support each other for cross-promotion on various communication channels and generally establish a relationship for long term collaboration so our existing AsiaBerlin community can be of help to our community partners in Asia as well.
