Lukas Pauly is Managing Director at Enpal Production – a subsidiary of Europe’s first GreenTech unicorn Enpal – responsible for Enpal’s global production partnerships and supply chain diversification efforts. Before joining Enpal, Lukas worked in venture capital, where he was responsible for early-stage investments in startups globally across different verticals and industries.
Naveed Arshad research interests include energy and climate informatics, electric vehicles, and energy transition in the developing world. Dr. Arshad has published over sixty research articles in top international journals and conferences. He is also the Co-founder and CEO of NeuBolt Energy Services, which plans to bring 250,000 electric three-wheelers on Pakistani roads using innovative swappable battery technology and business models.
Kim Ngoc Thanh Nga is the Head of Ecosystem Development Department of the Vietnam National Innovation Center under the Ministry of Planning and Investment. The NIC is now well known for its leading role in creating a favourable environment to support innovative projects and activities of various stakeholders in Vietnam. Providing the basis for businesses to innovate, focusing on promoting technology transfer, research and development and commercialization in a favourable institutional testing environment to ensure competitiveness in the region.
Nguyen Hoang Minh is CEO and founder of IoTeamVN. IoTeamVN offers Energy Efficiency solutions to industrial and commercial clients. Its Energy Monitoring Service monitors in real-time the energy consumption at the users’ building or factory and then advises them with options on how to reduce energy waste and optimize their operations.
Jessica Novia was raised in a coastal area in Indonesia where she witnessed the negative impact of climate change in front of her eyes. In her early career, she worked for McKinsey and Unilever, then she got a calling to wake up everyday breathing for humanity, hence she is leveraging her professional skills to build CarbonEthics that focuses on community-based blue carbon conservation.
Tarek Hassan is the Head of the Digital Transformation Center Vietnam at GIZ, supporting the Vietnamese government on shaping digital transformation that is human-centered and sustainable. The project is implemented on behalf of the Federal German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Tarek has been part of the AsiaBerlin universe since 2016, when he joined CONSTELLATIONS International as a consultant in Shanghai and Berlin. Prior to his posting in Vietnam, Tarek worked as a freelance service designer and as an advisor for innovation management at the GIZ in Germany. Since May 2021, Tarek also functions as the AsiaBerlin Ambassador for Vietnam.
