Tatsuhiro Takahashi (Professor, Dr. Eng.) has been showing leadership as a Director for the promotion of international and industrial collaboration since 2009 in Yamagata University (YU), in addition to research and education in polymer and organic materials (the core strength of YU) since 2002. Especially, since 2010 as a business interface, he has been leading strategic cluster-cluster collaboration between Germany and Japan in organic electronics (by BMBF and MEXT etc.) and business tie-up of regional SMEs between Saxony and Yamagata (by JETRO). He is also involved in the next-generation entrepreneur cultivation project of YU, known as EDGE-NEXT (by MEXT) for creating technological start-up from YU. He used to work with University Erlangen-Nuremberg for 2 years and DuPont (American chemical company) for 10 years. He likes connecting people from all over the world through welcoming and entertaining them by warm regional hospitalities with Yonezawa beef, Sake (rice wine), fruits (cherries/grapes) and nature (mountains/rivers/snows/hot springs).
