Dr Ruby Wang is the China Head of Health for Policy and Partnerships for the UK Foreign Office, based at the British Embassy in Beijing. Dr Wang leads the FCDO China Network team on health policy, strategic partnerships and the design and delivery of bilateral and multilateral health programmes across UK and China government, academia and industry. She currently also sits on the Digital Health Council at the Royal Society of Medicine, having previously worked as Director of Strategic Partnerships at Holmusk, and Medical Advisor at AliHealth, Alibaba. She is a trained NHS Doctor, having studied and practiced at University of Cambridge Medical School, and hospitals affiliated with University College London and University of Oxford. More recently, Dr Wang worked on the NHS frontline for the 2020 first wave of COVID-19 in the UK. She holds an MA in Neuroscience and Psychology from University of Cambridge and MMSc in Global Health and Technology Policy as a Schwarzman Scholar at Tsinghua University.
