Nam has been a government official in Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) since 2012 and holds leading roles in its sub-organizations. With a Ph.D. in computer science and nearly 20 years of experience in Information Technology, he has engaged in various cross-country IT projects and is currently assisting the Vice Minister on state management of technology transfer, innovation, technology commercialization and technology enterprise development. Since August 2017, Nam has been appointed as the Director of the National Office 844 (Initiative for Startup Ecosystem in Vietnam or also known as ISEV), which was initiated by the Prime Minister in 2016. At the same time, Nam leads the National Startup Support Center (NSSC), a sub-organization of MOST dedicated to providing services to startups and assisting them to connect with other startup ecosystems in the world. He is also a frequent speaker in national and international summits about startup ecosystem-buildings.
We want to deepen our focus on the Berlin and Asia startup ecosystems and hence we are initiating community partnerships with ecosystem players in both regions. The idea is to support each other for cross-promotion on various communication channels and generally establish a relationship for long term collaboration so our existing AsiaBerlin community can be of help to our community partners in Asia as well.
