Mantasha Ahmed Founder President Association of Fashion Designers of Bangladesh AFDB

Mantasha Ahmed is the President of Bangladesh-India Business Council of WICCI and the President of the Association of Fashion Designers of Bangladesh (AFDB). She is a former board member of the SME Foundation Bangladesh. After completing her MA in International Relations and Contemporary Political Theory from London, UK, she joined the House of Lords, London as an adviser on ethnic minority issues and actively participated in uplifting the social status of disadvantaged groups. Later, she worked at BRAC, the largest NGO in the world as a communication expert and then joined her family business in fashion in 2010. Through AFDB, Mantasha and her team have trained hundreds of beneficiaries in the field of fashion design and business management. She is the convener of Heritage Handloom Festival Bangladesh. Through her vision, hard work and dedication Ms Ahmed has established herself as an eminent SME expert in the country with heavy focus on women empowerment, training and social welfare.
We want to deepen our focus on the Berlin and Asia startup ecosystems and hence we are initiating community partnerships with ecosystem players in both regions. The idea is to support each other for cross-promotion on various communication channels and generally establish a relationship for long term collaboration so our existing AsiaBerlin community can be of help to our community partners in Asia as well.
