According to a recent World Bank report Singapore’s start-up ecosystem offers more than 180 accelerators, incubators, and other intermediaries and has attracted over 3,600 tech start-ups. Singapore provides one of the most developed start-up ecosystems, not only in the ASEAN region, but by global standards. How can foreign start-ups make use of this environment and enter the Asian market and what support do the governments of Singapore and Germany provide to them?About the event
The Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business (APA) and Enterprise Singapore (ESG) jointly present Germany Singapore Business Forum Connect: Singapore as a Launch Pad for GreenTech Start-ups. This virtual event is part of the official programme of the “AsiaBerlin Summit 2021 – Connecting Startup Ecosystems” and will highlight on the start-up landscape in Singapore and support schemes of the governments of Singapore and Germany. A special focus is on GreenTech start-ups energies because Singapore is well-known as a clean and green city with the government and corporates striving for environmental sustainability and German start-ups of this field have lots to offer. Throughout the whole AsiaBerlin Summit 2021 there will be the chance for business matchings with companies and partners from the city state. Germany Singapore Business Forum had been held since 1994 to promote partnerships between Singapore SMEs and German Mittelstand. Taking on a new and refreshed format in 2020, Germany Singapore Business Forum (GSBF) Connect comprises a series of events throughout the year to facilitate partnerships across market access, innovation plus industrial and digital transformation.
