Asian Embassies are organizing a series of programs diving deep into startup topics in their respective countries during the days of the AsiaBerlin Summit. Have a look. 

 

 

Are you interested in the startup scene of Asian countries such as the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Mongolia, or Pakistan? For AsiaBerlin Summit 2020, the Asian embassies are invited to organize their own seminars and workshops and will be focusing on some of these topics for their programs. Thailand: A Fascinating Investment Destination of Asia for Landing Startup

The 3rd Philippine StartUp MeetUp

The 3rd Philippine StartUp MeetUp will showcase a panel of 3 Filipino talents working in German technology scale-ups and a pitch event of 5 startups with Filipino founders spread out across Europe and back home in the Philippines. We are sustaining our momentum from a successful launch in June 2018, followed by the 1st pitch competition of 10 Filipino founders as a satellite event of the then Asia Pacific Week Berlin 2019. This year, it will be a hybrid event for the first time ever and will be broadcasted live on 24 September 2020 via Zoom from the Philippine Embassy in Berlin.

We welcome investors from Europe who want to gain a better understanding of the opportunities in the Philippines, and who want to meet some of its best founders. Of course, we also welcome other startup founders and aspiring digital entrepreneurs to learn from the insights of Filipinos who are either part of the fastest growing German unicorns or are running their own businesses. As an Embassy Day event, there will be an opportunity to network with other investors from Asia via Brella.

Accelerating startup ecosystems through IT-capabilities in Vietnam

The startup scene is getting hotter by the years with respect to the rapid growth that requires the huge and youthful IT capabilities and potentials.

Indonesia during the pandemic: digital opportunities including the example of the healthcare industry

Startups from around the globe are working on solutions to address COVID-19, a virus which as of today has caused more than 900.000 deaths around the world. As coronavirus cases surge in Indonesia, doctors are working double-time treating patients both at hospitals and online through health tech startups – an approach that is quickly becoming part of the national healthcare system. To lessen the strain, the government is directing the public to so-called telehealth firms through which they can access verified medical guidance, get free doctor consultations via video, telephone or text, and even have medication prescribed and delivered.

This Zoominar will provide an overview of current developments and opportunities and this will be an effective forum for sharing of experiences and good practices from Indonesia in managing the pandemic through the development of innovation and digitalization.

A Deep Dive into the Indian Start-up Ecosystem

The count of Start-ups recognized by the Central Government of India stands at 37,171. With a groomed environment that is legally sound and witnesses the support of various public and private stakeholders that are fostering innovation and disruption, India is surely the Go-To Asian country. Witness the ‘India Insights” at the hands of Startup India, NASSCOM and FICCI, which are some of the most prominent drivers of the Indian Startup Ecosystem today.
