Our honorary AsiaBerlin Ambassador Aravinth Panch is an interdisciplinary expert with 17+ years of global experience in science, engineering, arts and sustainability, with the core expertise in research, development and production of electro-mechanical embedded systems and digital products.

As an entrepreneur, Aravinth co-founded 7 organizations in the sector of education, sustainability, agriculture, consulting & engineering services, in Asia & Europe. A regular speaker at AsiaBerlin Summit, Aravinth has been a frontrunner in initiating conversations to connect startup ecosystems of Srilanka and Berlin. As an ambassador of AsiaBerlin, he took the initiative to meet and welcome Manori Unambuwe – the Ambassador-Designate at the Embassy of SriLanka in Germany, who has recently assumed her duties to represent SriLanka.  Aravinth introduced her to the vibrant Berlin startup scene and key ecosystem players in the city.

“I was born in a beautiful coastal town in Sri Lanka, at a difficult time where my family lost several members to the civil war, who were just innocent civilians. Being born and growing up in such a troublesome environment taught me one thing that, networking is the crucial component to survive in a vigorously changing world.

Since then I have been living with the value, “Network is my net-worth”, and in the last years I have been to more than 50 countries to establish truthful relationships with several organizations and individual stakeholders in startups, education, sustainability, and arts ecosystems.

AsiaBerlin is the greatest initiative from the Berlin Senate that adds fuel to my fire to create long-lasting international relationships with governmental and non-governmental entities in the Asia Pacific region, therefore it is the ultimate platform for me to push my Tech-Diplomacy (TechPlomacy) network to the next level,”.

-Aravinth Panch, AsiaBerlin Ambassador
