Here is a look at the founders from India – and their amazing startups – that participated in the virtual delegation trip to Berlin on September 2020 . This delegation is part of the Female Entrepreneurship in Berlin and India project for women founders that has been established in 2018 by the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises in cooperation with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through the Bund-Länder-Programm and is implemented by enpact e.V. as an integral part of the AsiaBerlin activities.
It is cooperating in India with the bilateral programme „Economic Empowerment of Women Entrepreneurs and Start-ups by Women”, commissioned by BMZ and implemented by GIZ, which aims to improve the conditions for women-owned companies in India
SensorVision.io is the IoT platform from WeMakeIoT; an IoT solutions development unit set up in 2014 to cater to the automation needs of innovators. Sheeba Duleep has been in the IT area since 1991, when she co-founded Software Associates, and has been in the fore-front of technological evolution since then. Software Associates later became hospitalinformationsystem.com; the healthcare management product. Sheeba moved on to web applications development in 2000, partnering with companies across the globe, developing solutions for some of the Fortune 500 companies. By the end of 2013, the idea for IoT solutions/product development had taken shape; WeMakeIoT was formed in May 2014 and SensorVison, the product, in 2020.
She is a graduate in Science from the University of Calicut, with a PGCCA from Aptech Chennai, and an alumnus of IIMK, from where she did her Executive MBA.

Coulomb.ai is a battery intelligence platform for electric vehicles and energy storage systems. Khushboo Shrivastava is an IIT Bombay alumni and an innovator. She has worked with General Motors in electric vehicle development and autonomous driving domain, in India, US and Europe. She has been invited as a speaker in Society of Women Engineers (SWE) in Prague for a lightening talk on “Automated Driving and ADAS System” and was a Vice Entrepreneur Chair for SWE’s Bangalore Chapter. Currently, she is laser focussed on building Coulomb.ai to accelerate EV adoption globally.

Lakshmi Shastry is an Electronics & Communication Graduate, started her career as a Trainee Engineer. She worked for an MNC for 8 years and acquired good knowledge of mass production, Lean manufacturing Techniques, 5S, FMEA, APQP, PPAP and SPC. Married to a Technocrat, with complementing skills, Lakshmi and her husband decided to start a company to establish Quality and build a skilled production team. She is instrumental in getting an AS /ISO certification for the Company and establishing LEAN Production Unit. Dr. Jugnu Jain is the co-founder and CEO of Sapien Biosciences. She is a cell and molecular biologist with 30 years experience in the life sciences and healthcare industry. She did her PhD from Cambridge University, UK and postdoc from Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, Boston. Dr. Jain has published many papers in renowned journals including Nature and Science. She has 14 years of drug discovery experience from Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Boston. In 2011, she returned to India to devote her experience and skills to launching Sapien. She is the winner of ‘Women Transforming India’ award.
