AsiaBerlin Summit 2020 Recap

Event Summary

AsiaBerlin Summit 2020 marked a milestone year – the first edition under the new AsiaBerlin Summit name, rebranded from the Asia-Pacific Week Berlin, and the first to run as a hybrid event combining in-person programming at Spielfeld Digital Hub with a full online stream for global audiences.

Held across five days, ABS 2020 navigated the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic while still bringing together 1,500+ participants from Berlin and across Asia. The hybrid format proved its value: online engagement rates more than doubled compared to the previous year, and attendees showed strong multi-day participation, with 73% taking part in more than one format across the week.
