Interim & Fractional CTO

Speaker Bio

I am an interim and fractional CTO based in Berlin. I step in when technology becomes the bottleneck: getting AI from pilot into production, modernising IT and ERP landscapes, and building small, fast tech teams that ship. Right now I work as Fractional CTO for a Berlin fintech and run a longer mandate for a RegTech provider to banks.

Before that I co-founded FYTA in Berlin and built its product and engineering as CTO for five years, from the first prototype to a hardware-plus-app business with a global customer base. Earlier I spent about a decade in industrial software and B2B sales, so I know both sides of the table: the people who build and the people who buy. I also founded NanoCredit, a blockchain micro-lending project for emerging markets (currently on hold).

My Asia connection is personal. I did my Master in Computer Science at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, speak Mandarin (B1) and follow China’s open-weight AI ecosystem closely. Recently I swapped the US model under my own production knowledge base for a Chinese open-weight model, same data, same tasks: 95 percent of the recommendations came out identical, at roughly half the price. That experiment changes the data-sovereignty question for banks and for teams operating in Asian markets, and it is what I bring to the summit.

At AsiaBerlin Summit 2026 I run the hands-on workshop “Build the Knowledge Layer Your Agents Actually Need”: how to stop explaining your company to AI every morning, and how to build a context layer that works with any model, hosted or self-hosted. No coding required.

Happy to talk about: AI in regulated industries, data sovereignty and self-hosted models, knowledge layers for AI agents, interim and fractional CTO work, and tech bridges between Berlin and Asia. Meet me at the workshop or book a slot in the matchmaking.
