Alex is one of founders of Atem — a tool to efficiently build and manage carbon portfolios, from sourcing to retirement. Leveraging blockchain technology, Atem aggregates supply and enables the integration of carbon neutrality into every business, product and service. For a future where regeneration is the default choice.

Alex founded Ape Unit, a Berlin-based design and development company, in 2010. Over time the company grew into different focus areas, one of them being Web3 and Blockchain. Ape Unit spun out several projects and launched platforms, including the P2P learning platform Dacade.

With Atem, Alex now focuses on transforming how carbon credits are used. The goal is to establish an efficient carbon market that is transparent and automated — to sync humanity with nature and bring us closer to a future on a thriving planet.
